Training Support Program - LMI Resources - as of June 2006

The following information is intended to assist Training Support Program applicants in understanding the impact that the Training Support Program has had on the local labour market.

These figures will provide a sense of the typical Training Support Program participants and the fields of training these participants have engaged in.

Moreover it will show percentages of employment for those participants who have completed their training.

Please note that both the percentages of employment and the total number of individuals receiving training in a given field should be considered when analyzing the continued demand for more qualified individuals in an industry.

  • By example, if the Training Support Program has contracted with forty people to enter into training in a given field then it is reasonable that these forty people were each in different intakes that contained at least twelve people. So mathematically dozens or even hundreds of people may currently or are soon to be certified in the field.
